Meet Max: The Guardian
Born in Santa Victoria Village, 45 minutes downstream from Iquitos on the Amazon River. At age 6, tourists visiting his village inspired him to become a guardian of this sacred place.
To learn English, Max crossed the Amazon River three times a week for 18 months, studying after school because he knew the world needed to hear the jungle's message.
For 15+ years, Max has guided seekers—not tourists—through the Amazon. His gift: nature reveals herself to him. Animals show themselves. Plants speak. The jungle chooses what each person needs to see.
His mission: Protect the Amazon from pollution. Educate locals and visitors. Create transformational experiences that change how people see nature—and themselves.
His practice: Weekly plant medicine ceremonies. Max doesn't just guide ayahuasca retreats—he walks the path himself, every week, deepening his relationship with the jungle's wisdom.
